A few weeks back I came across a yummy looking Kinder Bueno cake on twitter which was made by @Abigail__Brown and she gave me the reciepe from @shewhobakes1

I love Kinder Bueno and Nutella so I couldn't wait to try it out plus how perfect is this for easter?

The ingredients that are needed and the reciepe are all taken from Britt's (shewhobakes) blog Here but here is a step by step guide of what I used and  how I made this.

Ingredients (I have added extra for the decoration) :

Cake:
  • 150g self raising flour
  • 100g ground hazlenuts (or I used chopped hazelnuts)
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 200g unsalted butter/Stork
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g Nutella
Nutella ganache:
  • 300g Nutella
  • 150ml double cream
Decoration:
  • Kinder Bueno (white and chocolate)
  • Kinder Chocobons
  • White Chocolate Chips
  • x2 Kinder Eggs
  • Kinder Chocolate Sticks
I slightly added more Nutella to my cake though... and I'm not even sorry haha!

 Tools:
  • Whisk (or you can use and electric one)
  • Spatula
  • Greaseproof paper
  • Cake tin
  • Bowl
  • Weighing Scales

First start off by weighing out all of your ingredients.

Add your castor sugar and unsalted butter into a bowl and mix.

Add in the 4 eggs and flour and mix together

Add in the chopped hazelnuts.

Also add in the cocoa powder and mix together.

Add your Nutella into the mixture and whisk together making sure there are no lumpy bits.

Make sure you have lined your tin then add the cake mixture into the cake tin. Put this in the oven for 1 hour 30 minutes at 140c but I think I did mine on 150c.

Now let's move onto the ganache.

Put your nutella and cream into a saucepan and heat for a bout a minute until the nutella starts to melt.

Turn the heat off and whisk together until the ganache is smooth. Then leave to cool on one side.

To check your cake is ready pop a skewer in the middle and see if it comes out clean. If not you may need to pop it in the oven a little bit longer. Then leave the cake to cool.

Once the cake is cooled you are now ready to put the ganache onto your cake. I covered mine on the top and around the sides of the cake.

Then you are ready to get decorating!

Go all out or make it simple, as you can see I did go a little crazy but why not.

All that you need to do then is eat and enjoy the cake. Yummy!

Oh and maybe the washing up too but that can wait, haha!

This was my first ever cake that I have made and I am pretty proud of how it has turned out. Although I did find that the cake was a little bit uneven around the edges due to using the greaseproof paper and I think i used a bit of a too big cake tin but never mind, it's just trial and error!  I think next time I make this I would love to try and make a white chocolate ganache instead.

Have you tried making Britt's Kinder Bueno & Nutella cake?
I can't wait to try out more of her reciepes!

 Hello!

So I have decided that I'm going to be putting up a wishlist every/most Wednesdays. This week it is going to be my wishlist from Zara.

Now to be honest I have never really been a big fan of Zara as all I could normally find was formal wear but I have recently seen so many items in store and online that I love. So I thought I would share with you all the items that I am loving right now.

L - R

Flat Shoes with Bow Detail £15.99 (Here) - How gorgeous are these? I'm just loving Nude at the moment. Now unfortunately these are out of stock online unless you are a size 2 so you may have to take a trip to your local store to get your hands on these beauties.

Pearly Strappy Sandals £39.99 (Here) - Now for me these are a bit pricey for a sandal but I think these look very chic and kind of remind of Chanel with the pearl detailing.

L - R

Studded White D'Orsay Shoes £15.99 (Here) - Love the stud detailing. Valentino inspired.

Platform Ankle Boots  £19.99 (Here) - Who doesn't love a good ankle boot. These would look perfect with mosts outfits.

L - R

Embroidered Lace T-Shirt £17.99 (Here) - I'm really liking lace on clothing at the moment, I find it very girly.

Off The Shop Top £15.99 (Here) - Off the shoulder tops are all in at the moment! To be honest I don't think I own much red coloured clothes so I would love this to be my lastest addition.

L - R

High Rise Trousers £29.99 (Here) - Ok after seeing these on a girl through Instagram I just need a pair in my life.

T-Shirt With Frilled Sleeves £7.99 (Here) - Love a bit of frills and you can't go wrong for the price it's at!

 L - R

Suede Effect Dress £25.99 (Here) - I think this is so cute and girly, perfect for the Spring weather!

Jacket With Zips £59.99 (Here) - Ok another item i've fallen in love with and yet again it's pink.

L -R

Poplin Shirt With Pleated Sleeves £29.99 (Here) - More frills and pleats! Again i've seen this over on Instagram and would look great paired with a gilet.

Ripped Mid Rise Jeans £29.99 (Here) - Perfect for a casual day oh and yet again more pink!

L - R

Mini Studded Tote £29.99 (Here) - I'm a huge handbag addict so when I first saw this I just knew I needed to add to straight to my wishlist.

There are so many other items that I want but I thought I should stop here haha

I’m always on the hunt for a new mascara to add to my ever growing collection in my makeup draw. I have a few high end mascaras from brands such as Benefit, Mac, Bobbi Brown and a lot of drug store ones which include Maybelline and Rimmel but I’m constantly on the search for another mascara. Normally I do use 2-3 mascaras during my makeup routine to give different looks. I love mascaras that give me the thick, defined and most importantly the long length. People are always commenting on my lashes at work saying how beautiful and naturally long they are so I love to find the right mascara which helps to show them off.

I came across the Yves Saint Laurent Volumising Effet Faux Cils Mascara when I was on a flight to the Dominican Republic. I purchased this from the on board duty free range. So I think I got this for around £20.00

The mascara is described as:

"With one sweep of the wand, this lush mascara combines the captivating volume and false lash effect of faux cils luxurious mascara with our deepest black colour ever. Carefully selected mineral pigments coat lashes from root to tip with dramatically dark colour thats simply unmatched, while the triple film-complex specially coats each lash for added intensity, curve and long lasting wear. The result is a dangerously glamourous lash look that lasts."
The YSL mascara definitely lives up to the description. It adds volume and length to each individual lash creating that dramatic false lash look."

The shade of the mascara is Noir Radical which is a very deep black which is perfect! I find that this mascara makes my lashes longer and fuller without having to use lash curlers.

To apply the mascara I start by using the brush horizontally as normal and I wiggle the brush back and forth to move the brush through the bottom of my lashes all the way to the top to make sure all of them are covered. I do think that this can be very thick and can clump easily if you do apply to much so just bear that in mind if you have bought this mascara. I just make sure to lightly scrape the wand against the tube to remove any excess. If this does happen I just use another mascara wand to separate and fan out my lashes, making sure I’ve got all the lashes in the corner of my eyes.

The packaging is yet again luxurious looking with it being from YSL. I find that the mascara doesn’t flake and although I have read reviews on this from other people claiming that it has smudged during the day for them, for me I have never had this problem! The only downside I do have is that I find it hard to remove on a night but I guess that just shows its staying power haha!
If you are wanting fuller, defined  lashes I would definitely recommend this mascara!

The YSL Volumising Effet Faux Cils Mascara retails for £25.50

“Sexy Amber puts the spotlight on sumptuous amber wrapped in sandalwood and musk against a bright backdrop of dazzling orange, mandarin and white floral. Inspiration was pulled from the bold colours that often highlight a Michael Kors fashion collection. These pops of colour in the iconic images of the Michael Kors brand express undeniable pleasure and instant sex appeal”
This was my first scent from the Michael Kors range and I received this as Christmas gift from my parents a couple of years ago. It was a gift set that included the 50ml sized bottle and a Sexy Amber scented shower gel. As I loved this fragrance so much I bought it in duty free one time when I was going on holiday in 100ml bottle.
Michael Kors Sexy Amber is an Amber based fragrance that contains hints of sandalwood and mandarin. It is a warm, sexy, musky scent and very sophisticated.
The fragrance to me is perfect Autumn/Winter scent but I will be definitely wearing this during Spring/Summer and it is one of my go to fragrances for a night out. I love spraying loads of perfume on but honestly a little goes a long way with this scent and it lasts for ages on the skin which is great!
I love how minimalistic and elegant the bottle is which also features a gold cap. Very classy!
The perfume is available in sizes: 30ml for £40.00, 50ml for £59.00 and 100ml for £82.00 and is available to buy at Debenhams and other retailers.

Now I'm just a sucker for pretty packaging I mean how aesthetically pleasing is the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick?

The lipstick looks very luxurious in the elegant gold casing with the YSL detail around the centre and each lipstick shows the colour on the case which I think is a nice touch. When I first set my eyes on this I just knew it had to be mine.

This was my very first YSL lipstick and I purchased this a few years ago in Sephora when I was out in Florida. I picked up the shade No 1. Nude Beige from the Silky Sensual Radiant range. Personally in my opinion I wouldn't class this as a beige it is more of a pink, I would say this is very similar to MAC's Creme Cup. It is such a lovely shade of lipstick, very girly!

The formula is creamy and moisturising on the lips. It has a buttery soft, light and silky texture when applying and is highly pigmented. For me, compared to my other brands of lipsticks it doesn't last me all day so I do find my self having to top up the odd times during the day.

The only points that I can say which I am being picky is that the casing does show finger marks and any scratches from being in your makeup bag!

The YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks do have a slightly high price tag as they are £27.00 so I do try to make this last haha! but if you are wanting to treat yourself to a luxurious lippie then I would definitely recommend this to you.

I also have a few other shades of the YSL Rouge Volupte that are on my wishlist to try out so hopefully there will be more reviews in the future!

Do you own any YSL lipsticks?

What are your favourite shades?

I recently came across this beautiful Bobbi Brown set whilst I was buying another Bobbi Brown product in Debenhams, I thought I would be good and not buy this as I am supposed to be saving money but a couple of weeks later I was browsing online and noticed Debenhams had a 10% off beauty event so whilst I was adding other items into my basket I thought I would have a nosey to see if they had this online and they did!

This is the Bobbi Brown "Bobbi's Party Picks" Cheek, Lip and Eye kit which normally is £70 but currently has 20% off so you can grab this for £65. If you also own a Debenhams beauty card you can earn up to 180 points.

The Bobbi’s Party Picks Kit is packaged within a black and gold gift box and each of the products are individually wrapped in black tissue paper. Inside the items that are included are:

- Highlighting powder in shade Opal Glow
- Black mascara
- Party Alice lip colour
- Crystal glitter lip gloss

These 4 items all come in this cute little patent burgundy make up bag which has Bobbi Brown embossed onto the front and once opened it is lined with a dark red suedette fabric.

All of the products named above are a curation of Bobbi’s must have party makeup pieces for the cheeks, lips and eyes.

This set is perfect if you want to treat a friend for their birthday, your mum on mother's day or even if you want to treat yourself like I did!

Keep an eye out for full reviews on each of these products.
