The Library Of Fragrance - Sex On The Beach
I had first heard about The Library of Fragrance after seeing a blog post on the fragrance Baby Powder and I thought I would love to try out these different fragrances they are offering.
I picked up the scent Sex On The Beach, yes like the cocktail and it even smells just like it!
Here's a little bit about the company:
"The Library of Fragrance products are produced by New York-based company, Demeter Fragrance Library Inc.
Originally established in 1996, Demeter set out to create fragrances
that captured all the wonderful smells that surround us every day, but
are too often under appreciated in our busy, pressured, multi-tasking
world. The first three scents belonging to the collection – Dirt, Grass and Tomato – were launched at Bergdorf Goodman
in New York City. With the brand quickly gathering a loyal cult
following, the concept soon expanded to include an even broader range of
smells – no matter how odd or unusual – and scents such as Gin & Tonic, Baby Powder and even Play-Doh began to populate the library"
The bottle is 30ml sized and is perfect for popping in your handbag to top up during the day or in your clutch bag for a night out. The design is simple and each fragrance has their own colour on the label.
The scent is fruity "an iced and inviting combination of vodka, fresh pineapple juice, a
touch of raspberry liquor, a hint of melon liquor and a splash of
cranberry" and brings back memories from past holidays sitting on the beach sipping cocktails. For me personally I find that this scent doesn't last all day so I do have to top up the odd times during the day.
The Library Of Fragrance colognes can be layered to create different scents which is something that other brands of perfume don't offer. I love the idea that you can mix and match two or more different scents to create your own unqiue fragrance.
I would love to try out the other scents such as Pina Colada, Baby Powder and Fresh Coconut or even give layering the different frangrances a go.
Today, these products are sold in over 35 countries from Paris, to
Moscow and even Hong Kong! There are over 300 unique fragrances in The
Library of Fragrance collection and a total of 101 of these fragances are available here in the UK. A selection of these are avaliable to buy in Boots for £15.00
