Hello Lovelies!

Can't believe we are in September already! How fast has this year gone? Summer is over, autumn is now arriving and the leaves will be starting to fall. I love autumn, colder days and nights calls for blankets and hot chocolate!

(Image taken from weheartit)

Here are some fun ideas on what to do this season.

Go on a walk
Visit your local park or take your dog for a walk in the woods and go searching for conkers.

Cosy night in
What’s better than a cosy night in by fire with a loved one or simply enjoying your own company. Make yourself a hot chocolate (don’t forget the marshmallows) and grab those blankets!

Get cooking
Get yourself in the kitchen and get cooking. Why not make a homemade soup, my favourite at the moment is butternut squash! Delicious.  Check out pinterest for some recipes.

Buy candles
You can buy candles all year round if you’re a candle lover like me. Although I love lighting candles especially at this time of the year, it makes the house so cosy. Why not try Yankee Candle Cinnamon Stick.

Go to a bonfire
Remember, remember the fifth of November. I love a good bonfire! Who doesn’t love the smell of burning fire and the sound of fireworks whilst you’re stood out in a field all wrapped up in your wellies with a sparkler in your hand writing the letters of your name.

Carve a pumpkin
Time to get creative. Doesn’t have to be a scary pumpkin, use your imagination.

Toffee apples
Every bonfire when I was younger I use to always get a toffee apple. Why not make your own! Doesn’t have to be toffee, you could use chocolate and sprinkle them with hundreds and thousands.

Ghost walk
It’s the perfect time of the year if you like being scared or wanting to know about the paranormal. Check out what ghost walks/hunts are on in your area.

Halloween
It’s getting closer to Halloween. Why not organise a Halloween party for family and friends and get dressed up or decorate your house up all ready for when the trick or treaters arrive.

Scary movie night
It’s that time of the year where all the horror films are on TV. Get your girlies over, a partner or if you are feeling brave watch them by yourself. Watch them in bed or why not bring your quilt down and snuggle up on the sofa. Turn the lights off for a better atmosphere, grab the popcorn and make sure you have a pillow to hand.

What will you be doing this Autumn? or Leave other suggestions in the comments below!

Have you been busy with work all week? Here is my list of things to do at the weekend.

Explore your hometown - Google search whats around your area. Visit local museums, art galleries, see if there is any concerts/gigs on or even take a trip to the cinema and see a film you wanted see.

Go out for breakfast/lunch/tea - Why not use this time to go out for some breakfast/lunch/tea for a change, you could go with your friends, family or your partner.

Go shopping -Take a trip into town or to your nearest shopping centre. Treat yourself to a few new items, maybe you have got some items on your wishlist that you are after.

Have a clear out - Whether this is sorting out your make up collection or clothes, shoes etc use this time to do it. Having a clear out is something we tend to put off but it's nice to find things you totally forgot about or throw away/give away old stuff you are never going to use again. You can also re vamp your bedroom or storage whilst you are doing this!

Wash your make up brushes - Ok I must admit this is one thing I dread doing although at the same time I do find it quite satisfying. After using them all week applying your make up, the weekend is the perfect time to clean and sanitise your brushes all ready for Monday morning.

Pamper yourself - Got a day off? Why not use this time to pamper yourself. Paint your nails, treat your skin and have a relaxing candlelit bath using your favourite Lush products.

Go for a walk - If it's a dry day go for a walk, take your dog with you or simply go with your friends. It could be round your local park or if you live by the coast take a walk along the beach. Breathe in the fresh air and let it clear your mind.

Spend time with family - A weekend or day off is the perfect time to catch up with your family! If you haven't seen them in a while pay them a visit, family time is precious!

Catch up on your favourite shows - Time for a Netflix binge? I think so. Catch up on some programmes you are currently watching or watch your favourite film. I'm currently watching Pretty Little Liars, Once Upon A Time and Gossip Girl.

Get lost in a book - Love a good read? Nows your chance to start that new book you wanted to read!

Or simply catch up on your sleep and have a lazy day doing nothing!

What do you like to do with your weekend?

Everyone has moments in their lives where we all feel stressed whether it is  from situations that occur during our day to day lifestyles or whether it's from our thoughts and feelings, we all need to take time to de stress and relax.

Here are a few solutions to help you get started!

Slip into something comfortable - For me, changing into something more comfortable like my pyjamas or onesie always helps me to relax more. Although if a pair of jeans and a hoodie is more comfortable for you then that's fine!

Have a bath - Run yourself a nice hot bath with plenty of bubbles, even add a bath bomb if you like! Pop some candles on and turn out the lights for a more soothing atmosphere. The soft glow of candlelights is so relaxing.

Pamper yourself - I love a good pamper session! Whether it's going to a beauty salon, a spa day or just simply doing it yourself! Looking after yourself really helps to make you feel better and it's so nice to treat yourself. If you are pampering yourself here are a few ideas of what you can do:

Treat your feet - We are always on our feet and we kind of forget about our tootsies so why not give them some tlc. Start by soaking your feet in a bowl/foot spa/ or even the bath! Exfoliate and use a rasp to get rid of any unwanted dry skin then pop some foot cream on and slip on some moisturising socks to lock in the moisture.

Apply a face mask - Face masks really help to look after your skin and you can find a suitable mask for your skin type and characteristics.

Exfoliate - Get red of the those dead skin cells for softer skin!

Paint your nails - Add a bit of colour into your life. I always feel much better when my nails are done.

Reading - Get rid of your worries by curling up on the sofa with a book. It will give your brain a rest from thinking about work/your thoughts. Also it might help you to sleep at night if you read a bit before you go to bed. Or you could even read some of your favourite blogs!

Watch something - Have a movie day/night. Get comfy on the sofa or in bed and watch your favourite films or catch up on some of your favourite programmes.

Have a clear out - Ok I know this might be kind of a strange one as you would have thought having a clear out might make the situation more stressful but for me I find that having a tidy out of my wardrobe or sorting through my makeup collection de stresses me and helps to clear my mind knowing that I'm getting rid of unwanted items.

Have a cuppa - Yes, many of our problems can be solved by simply putting the kettle on, make yourself a cup of tea, sit down and enjoy!

and lastly Turn off your phone and step away from your laptop!

What are your favourite ways to unwind?

Here we have the final part of my weekend away in London.

After wondering around Covent Gardens we then went to one of my favourite restaurants, TGI Friday's. We had our meal and the staff sang "happy birthday" to me and gave me some cake and we had a few cocktails, then headed off to the Novello theatre which was only a short walk away to go see Mamma Mia. Mamma Mia is one of my favourite films so when I knew there was a production on in London whilst I was there for the weekend.

The show was amazing and everyone in the audience was up singing and dancing to most of the songs which was a really nice atmosphere. After coming out of the theatre we needed to head back to Covent Garden underground but as we started to set off we were stopped by a man on a rickshaw bike who asked us if we wanted a ride back to our hotel. At first we didn't know what to say as we didn't know whether it would be safe or not and how much it would be but we saw a few other people get on them so we decided to take up the offer! The bike was covered in Christmas lights, tinsel and played music etc. It was hilarious the journey back to our hotel but the guy kept us warm by giving us a blanket and secured us into the back and covered the cart so we didn't get wet if it rained.  Here is what the rickshaw looked like -

On Sunday which was our last day we decided to do some more shopping! Only this time we spent the day around Oxford street. Now I was in my element here popping in and out of the shops and mainly spending time in Selfridges which was also on my list to visit. I had to make a stop at the Disney store so I could have my photo taken in Cinderella's carriage. During the day I made some more purchases which included perfume, UGG boots and some more makeup. We also had to walk down Bond Street so I could take a photo of all the posh shops.

We then had to head back to our hotel to pick up our luggage as our train was at 6:30pm. I'm surprised I managed to even fit on the train as I had so many shopping bags!

And that's all that I did during my time in London, oh and I also made quite a few trips to Costa Coffee too haha! I would love to have spent more time there as there was so much I wanted to do but couldn't find the time to fit everything in, so next time I visit I will be definitely doing some sight seeing at places such as big ben, Buckingham palace etc and to go Madame Tussauds.

We arrived back into Leeds Sunday night and came home to find that my dad had decorated the house with 21st birthday banners and balloons which was lovely of him to do. Then my actual birthday was on Monday 30th November where I spent time at home relaxing after a long and tiring weekend! Then went out for a lovely meal with my family.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my time in London. Sorry its taken me three parts to do it in, just had so many photos I wanted to show you all!

If you saw my previous post you will know that I went to London for my 21st birthday. I arrived in London on a Friday morning and on day 2 of our trip me and my mum started things off with a trip to Harrods. I love a shopping trip and you cannot go to London and not go into Harrods! I think it must have been the first thing on my list of things to do. I had heard that it was big inside but when you actually experience it yourself then you understand how big it is. It was like a maze trying to find all different sections that I wanted to go to. I didn't realise that it even sold bed frames etc and had restaurants.

How beautiful is this tiara!

Whilst spending a couple of hours in Harrods I treated myself to 2 Christmas baubles a lipstick one and a blusher compact (I love how they had make up related baubles), a MAC lipstick, Chanel bronzer, a handbag, makeup bag, a keyring and then I bought a gift set which included another handbag, a 2016 diary and another makeup bag! We then made our way back to underground to get back to kings cross station where we had to go back to our hotel to drop our bags off and get changed for our evening meal and show at the Novello theatre. We had booked our evening meal at TGI Friday's in Covent Garden. The meal was booked for 4:30 so we had some time before hand to look around Covent Garden itself. Oh just to warn you if you ever go to London and get the underground to Covent Garden please just queue for the lifts!! Otherwise you will make the mistake of having to walk up 193 steps on a spiral staircase and which is (according to google) the equivalent of a 15 storey building! Me and my mum took the stairs as we didn't realise this plus my mum doesn't like lifts and we both nearly had a heart attack!

Part 3 of my trip to London will be uploaded soon!

Thanks for reading!

So today's post is going to be all about celebrating my 21st birthday in London. Back in November last year I was turning 21, I didn't really know what I wanted to do for it and was looking on the internet for ideas. At first I wanted to have a spa day but the packages were quite expensive for what you was getting and the hotels were quite far away from Leeds. I had then saw an advert on TV for a company called SuperBreaks which you can see if you click here where there are all sorts of trips for weekend breaks away or spa days etc. There's plenty to choose from and I saw a weekend away in London. I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Kings Cross Bloomsbury Hotel and stayed overnight for 2 days. I went with my mum and we travelled down on the train from Leeds on a Friday morning and arrived into London Kings cross around 10:30am. We then made our way to find our hotel which was only a 10 minute walk from the train station which was really handy.

After finding out that we took the long route round to our hotel we made it and checked ourselves into our room. The lady on the reception kindly let us have one of the newly refurbished rooms. Here are a couple of photos of our lovely room.

The Holiday Inn Kings Cross Bloomsbury is rated a 4 star hotel and I thought it was lovely during our stay. It has business services, health and fitness centre on site, spa facilities, internet service and laundry service. It also has its own cocktail bar, 2 restaurants and room service which is available. The rooms and everywhere around the hotel were clean and tidy, the staff were really good when it came to us wanting extra pillows or tea/coffee in our room, we didn't have to wait long for them to come to our room with them and there was always a receptionist on the desk at all times. During our time here I also received free Wi-Fi for the whole duration as it was black Friday weekend. Once we had unpacked our suitcase we decided to go for a little wander back to the train station and to figure out the underground! When we arrived at Kings Cross station I just knew I had to go find the Harry Potter Platform 9 3/4 and get my photo taken!

After that we decided to head back to our hotel as we had a free evening meal to enjoy back there. We had to choose from a set menu so for starters I had tomato soup, for main I had chicken in a creamy sauce with mash and vegetables and then for dessert I had a chocolate brownie with strawberries and chocolate sauce. It was delicious! After we had finished we had a few drinks in the cocktail bar and then we decided to go back to our room and have an early night.

Day 2 - We woke up early then went to go grab a full English breakfast from the hotel then it was time to head back to the train station for the underground and go shopping in Harrods! This was the first time I had ever been on the underground and well all I can say was that it was an experience!

I will be posting more about my birthday weekend in my next post! So keep an eye out.
