My tattoos!
So this post is going to be about my two tattoos.
I have always wanted a tattoo but i've never really seen that many designs that i liked as i wanted a smallish one but girly.
First tattoo:
In 2011 i went on holiday with some of my family and the hotel we stayed in had a tattoo studio so every day i was looking through the booklets to find any designs that i wanted. My auntie was also looking for one as she wanted to get one of hers covered. Then one day i was flicking through and found such a lovely design that included swirls and a flower, but it was a design that was meant to go on the side of your hand. But i spoke to the woman who was the designer (She was english) and she said that her husband (the tattooist who was turkish) would be able to do it wherever i wanted it. So i decided that i wanted it on my foot. We got to know everything and spoke about it to the women as the tattooist didn't speak any english and i decided that i wanted to go ahead with the design so the women did a transfer so i could see what the actual design would look like so i went to go show the rest of my family and they loved it and thought i should definitely go ahead with getting it if i really wanted it. So after a day/night of having the transfer on, we went back the next day on our way down to the pool and i happened to flick through the book again and found a better flower than the one i origionally chose. So again i spoke to the woman and they could do the design i wanted but with the better flower, so anyways i booked my appointment and it was booked for my last day as you aren't allowed in the pool/in the heat etc. As our flight was at night my appointment was just an hour or so before our coach picked us up so it worked out good timing.
Getting the tattoo: We looked inside the studio and it was really clean and everything was sterile. I noticed on the glass window there was a sign with a human body on and arrows and stars, when i looked closely i realised it was a diagram showing where abouts on your body was the most painful parts for getting tattoos. Of course i looked at the foot area and it showed 5 stars and said " very painful, you may cry or faint" (something like that) so i thought "oh great! it's going to hurt" not ideal for my first tattoo! :( Anyways i went inside and the tattoist prepared my foot etc and told me how to sit and then he started. It was over within 10-15 minutes i think, not bad at all! and another thing, it didn't hurt me at all! It is a weird sensation but i can't really describe it but if you have had a tattoo then you would understand what i mean. I followed all of my aftercare instructions correctly and when i got i did the same and it looks lovely!
Here it is:
I love it! and i don't regret having it done at all! It's smallish and girly, just what i wanted :) It also looks really nice with a pair of heels on.
Second tattoo:
Since getting my first tattoo i have wanted another one! but again i didn't really know what i wanted but this time i knew that i wanted lyrics, but which lyrics?
Well as i am a big fan of The Wanted, i wanted to get some of there lyrics tattooed on me but again as i love all of there songs it was finding the perfect lyrics . I listened to all of there songs and then it got to "Gold Forever" i love the lyrics to this song and one of them is " Live today like its the last night" so i really wanted that, as it has a meaning behind it, as you should live today like it's the last as you never know what could happen and it's lyrics from my favourite band so it would mean alot to me :)
My mum thought i should add some more into it and she came up with "You will live, You will love, So live today like it's your last".
So it kind of still has The Wanted lyrics in it just with abit more added and now i think it has more meaning behind it :)
Anyways we went to the tattooist and showed the desinger the words he re-arranged and added some flowers/petals and it looked really nice! we arranged to book it but he said had to be 18 to get it done, which we knew and understood so i booked it for december 2012 as my birthday is 30th november i wanted to get it done as soon as i turned 18.
As i was getting it on my hip the tattooist recommened that i should have numbing cream as he said it is quite painful in that area (also i'm tickilish there) so we decided that i would definitely get the cream.
The day of my appointment:
My dad applied 2 tubes of the cream as the tattoist advised and placed cling film over the area. We arrived at the tattoo studio and he did a transfer to make sure it was in the right place. It looked really nice and that was just with the transfer!
I had to lay on my side on the bed and he started. I couldn't even feel a thing. The numbing cream really did work! I could only start to feel it hurting a little when he was nearly finished. I think it only took him about 20 minutes to do the whole thing, which i didn't expect, i thought it would have been longer! Anyways i looked in the mirror and i loved it! It's so pretty.
Here it is:
(The photo was taken just after i had it done, so it does look sore, red and there is some blood spots)
Now i'm wanting a 3rd! haha i have no idea what of or where to get one next, but i'm sure i'll think of something :)
